Rep Power: 0 Wiring To Park Lights
I have searched and cannot find the answer to this question. I am attempting to wire an indiglo shift **** to the park lights so that when the park lights turn on so will the indiglo **** as does the stereo, dash, ext. Which wire under the steering collum should I wire the power to? I really dont want to run a wire all the way under the hood if possible. Thanks

Rep Power: 0 i dont know too much about wiring electrical stuff up, but i do know that you would have to either connect this some kind of switch that runs off a relay from maybe your hazard lights or your parkin lights.... my advice is to talk to someone professional about this.... im not talkin about the idiots behind the counter of RadioShack either.... PROFESSSIONAL (car stereo & alarm installers)

Rep Power: 0 I don't know how helpful this little piece of info is but here it goes. I just got my foglights installed at a "professional" electronics installer and he hooked it up so that the fogs would only have power when the parking lights are on. This required a relay and a lot of freaking wires. But since your just hooking up a light up shifter (maybe 1 or 2 amps max) I don't think it'll blow any fuses, i.e. no need for a relay. Anyways, I believe there is a fuse under your steering column that goes to the dash lights. I believe he found the proper wire to tap into by using a multi-meter and playing with the dimmer **** until he saw a variance in voltage. By doing this you can get your shifter to dim with your dashlights as well! Good luck!

whoops, yea that would make it come on all the time. I was thinking about the way I did it.

Rep Power: 0 SOHCScreamer I really don't remember asking your opinion on the product only how to install it correctly. Also just because you don't like it dosent mean no one else does either. I particularly think the car should come with a light up shift ****, looks good in my book!

Rep Power: 0 There is a dimmer wire that goes to the back of your radio, believe it's orange with a black line, this wire gets power when your lights are turned on to dim the radio. I would try this hookup. Would probably be pretty easy.
