e-manage
eh, ok i have a weird question. i might be getting an e-manage for an awesome price. well alot of stuff for an awesome price. anyway, it will be an e-manage AND harness. here is the problem, NO SOFTWARE. should i bother getting it? where can i get this software? its needed to use the emanage right? sorry if i don't know. i really have no clue. where can i get this software? do i need a key for it, will a specific code only work with the specific emanage unit? someone let me know. THANX!!!

Rep Power: 331 you can get the software just about anywhere. what you need is the cable. There are people out there that make clone cables, but you can usually find the real software/cable for 80-100 shipped. If you dont get either of these items, youll have a blue box with lights and wires. If you actually want to control any of it, you need the software and cable. my question is, regardless of the price you're going to get it for, what would you use it for? are you getting the pressure sensor and harness too? make sure you get both ignition and injector harnesses atleast.

ah yes the infamous harness.. this is the missing link to the whole thing. its no ordinary serial-usb cable as i originally thought..

this is what ill be getting minus the exhaust mani. MAYBE. not sure yet. all that stuff. but anyway, thats the only harness i see. i guess ill need to get the software online and the cable too. it connects to my laptop right?

Rep Power: 305 yes, if your laptop has a serial port on it.. if not you can purchase a usb-to-serial adaptor and ripoffShack for $25-$30. serial ports are hard to come by on newage laptops.

Rep Power: 336 yea mine has a smaller serial port. anyway, what is that harness shown in the pic? besides that one, and the computer connection one, what other harness do i need and why?

Rep Power: 305 that looks to be the main harness.. you need the ignition harness and the injector harness. if i were you, i would purchase the plug-n-play kit for the emanage blue. it makes your life so much easier.. no hacking up and cutting the wires on your stock harness. plug and go really easy.
you want the injector harness to control your fuel delivery and you want the ignition harness to control your ignition timing (advance,retard all that good stuff.) i highly recommend the greddy pressure sensor. it lets you tune the car off/on boost.. without it the emange does not know when the car is under pressure and whens its not. also makes like much easier.

Rep Power: 336 ok, the 3 harnesses ill have to get then are gonna be about 150 bucks total...plus the software with USB port is another 100.
damn. i hope i get get boosted by nopi. ill have some saving to do. after i get all this...i still need charge pipes, intercooler, RSX typs S injectors, and alot of other head/block stuff. i don't really care about the head/block building yet cause ill be running like 8 pounds maybe. probably 6 even. but i want boost by nopi
