suspension question: Koni yellows & me
suspension question: Koni yellows & me
Here's someting that freaked me out when I first got my Koni Sport Kit..
The rear shocks weren't rebounding at all, and I thought they were blown. Basically the rod was't pushing out from the cylinder and when I would move the rod it just stayed in that position. When I called Koni's tech support, they informed me the rears I got with the kit were hydraulic. Apparently they aren't supposed to rebound! Is this out to lunch or what...
The way I understand suspension is that the shock is supposed to bring the spring back into position and restrict its movement to a degree when things get bumpy or turny. Am I correct in assuming that this type of shock is just supposed to slow down the movement of the spring?
Does anyone know of any types of shocks that don't rebound?? Are they dampers instead of shocks??
