That would be solder wick, Gearbox.
I actually have a desolder gun, makes short work of it. But the wick works pretty good. You can save the old LED's and use them elsewhere.

okay after all that work, none of the needles function. the big two went back in, but they would just sit in the middle and not move. the temp and fuel were loose and wouldn't work either. i just threw it away. So in conclusion, these new ones cannot be taken apart. the only thing someone had done is slip red film behind the gauges to make the numbers red instead of white. that could work so long as you dont touch the needles.
