Hi all.I'm an owner of an ep2(7th gen euro civic that uses the d16v1).Its engine is almost identical to the d17 vtec(d17a2?).I wanna go supercharging it but there are no kits available so I'll go for the JR S/C for the older d16s.I know that I need another intake mani so I'll go for a custom one.Are there any other restrictions(gears,pulleys etc)?Also,this engine is VTEC II.Is it a vtec-e and if so,the difference is on the cam specs or in the whole system?

Usually in SOHC engines, the head/cam is the restriction. Get the head ported/polished, and get an aftermarket cam

Sure.I'll go for the valve job,port&polish.I'll probably go for the stage 2 crower cam for the D17a2(donnow if is should by the N/A or the turbo one )So by changing the cam the difference should be that big on vtec?
Stock D16v1 come with a 10,5 compression.What is the suggested compression on a SC setup?
