All these CLIPS

These clips are a pain in the *** all over this car. Right now I'm installing the fogs and have to take off the front right inner wheel well fender and there are 3 clips i have to remove.....am i doomed to break them? Or is there a way to remove them without having to replace them?

gently pry with a flat head screw driver. they aren't too hard to take out without break and they are less than $4 if you break a few.

use the widest flathead screwdriver you possibly have. insert the screwdriver into where the cut-outs are and turn the screwdriver side to side, not up and down. from my experience the clips tend to crack easier when you pry up and down. and those damn clips are expensive to buy at the dealership. i went in looking to buy 5 clips. they tried charging me $3-$4 PER CLIP!!!! i almost threw up all over the counter...

Yeah I don't think i will be able to get all 3 off without breaking at lest one...so I'm going to wait till I get some extras.

So...I have mounted fog lights and a switch that doesn't turn them on...haha.

yeah i have had at least 3 or 4 that have broken just from being weathered and brittle. Fortunatly they are not in critical places and I didn't have to replace them.

yup i broke one when i was installing my foglights...as long as you have the clips on the outter edges it will hold the inner fender up. no need to worrie about the inside clips that much.

you can steal ones from the grill, like 1 or two from where it attaches to the bumper and 1 or 2 where the grill cover attaches to the frame

they are different from the ones in the inner fender...the inner fender ones are shorter...and i believe a little smaller.
