SRS reset... WHY?

I noticed on the DIY section, there's instructions on resetting the SRS.... why do you need to do that? Any particular reason? Just curious!

because when you are messing around with your car and you trigger off the SRS light it stays on and won't deploy your air bags... you have to reset it yourself or get the dealer to do it... but for the person who doesn't want the deal to have your car for a day... reseting it yourself is just easier

yep...i took out my passenger seat to race a friend and i had to unplug two things underneath the seat which triggered the SRS light to stay on so i had to just reset it....dealer will drain the ish out of you to do it for you.

since we're on the reset note... when you install a CAI, is it necessary to reset the ECU? I never did that on my '90 Accord when I installed my intake... (Ractive) lol!!!
