Rear Upper Strut Bar

Hey everyone, I just recieved in the mail my new set of OBX-R strut bars. I got both the front and rear strut bar. The front strut bar was no problem trying to install, but the rear upper strut bar is another story. I couldn't install it because the bolt all the way in the corner is impossible to remove. For those that have installed the rear upper strut bar, how the hell did you do it. It seems like you would have to take off the whole rear spring or whatever that black thing is that the screws that you have to remove to intall the bar are around. Please help, thanks!

I used a wrench with the correct socket, the thing ist hat I don't have enough space to loosen the bolt, it is a tiny area that I am trying to remove that bolt from!

get the right size socket, a long extention and the ratchet. to the right and left of the back seats are two rectangular pieces that can come out. it pretty much gives u a straight up and down angle at it. i had to do it with a impact gun at first when i was putting the springs on in the back.

alright, I will try to see what I can do. Hopefully I can remove those bolts. I have the right sized socket and an extension. I don't remeber any rectangular piece that could come out though. Thanks for your help!

I have a coupe. All I had to use was a 3" socket extension and a deepwell socket..
