help with tranny temp gauge

Where does it install? Can I tap the cooling line as it comes out from the tranny? i thought of the drain bolt but its a magnetic catcher for metal pieces.

streetglower check pg 14-143 of the manual on the pressure test hole for tranny. I wonder if that could work? I heard the sender works off alcohol or something and doesn't need to be touching actual oil.
