header question!!
Me and my autoshop teacher are planning to do a little modifying of my exhaust, i have an lx and i was wondering if all headers for all years are the same and if not what headers for what year could i use for my exhaust? i know i am going to need a new cat or not one at all and just leave the 2nd o2 sensor out

if any header, you can only use ones for 7th gen civics. the only one's out that i know of, are for the EX. it takes some modification to get them to work with your LX. but you definitely can't use earlier gen headers
The aftermarket header units that are available for the ex will readily line up and fit at your manifold......but the other end is where you will have to do work. Your catalytic converter is welded to your header, which means you will say goodbye to it (the cat that is) to use the header. Then you will have to weld your header to the down pipe, drill holes for your oxygen sensors, mount the sensors, etc.
You might want to check out HP Racing's new 2 piece unit, that includes a header that extends under the car, and another pipe w/ a high-flow cat that it bolts to. It has the O2 sensor mounts already in place.
