Anyone ever change a Cable Reel?

that's the wiring harness behind your steering wheel that controls the Cruise and the horn and ABS. it's on a swivel mechanism.

anyway..I have to change mine out before I sell my car. The part is damn expensive but I'm told that getting it off is near impossible and usually you have to break it.

anyone ever done this before?

i havent tried it but my dad had to get a new one for a ford and he had to break it off.
