Anyone with alarm, please help!

I am getting an alarm installed in my car this Tuesday and I don't know where to put the little red LED light that flashes. My car is leased and I'm not really worried about that, I am just wondering where people are putting them and where is a neat spot that it will still be visable? Any info would be very helpful. Thanks

I have pics of mine in my members section. I went with the blue L.E.D. light instead of red and had the light put in just to the left of the steering wheel. Good luck!

When I had the alarm installed, the guy placed te LED light and a tiny mic for the glass in the lower part of the dash to the left of the power outlet. It's one of the slots were you can put the Fog Light switch.

It can be seen from the outside plus you're not really putting any holes on the dash or the upper steering wheel cover.

The Honda stock alarm install recommends putting the LED at the top of the steering wheel cover so it is highly visible from both sides of the car. I just installed a Varad blue LED this way and it is extremely visible.

Before I went this route I talked to an alarm installer. He favored this spot more than the sides of the dash since you want a thief to see the light before he puts a crowbar through your window. Its easier to put the LED on the side of the dash but I think I'm happier with the results this way.

Thanks for the info people, I'm still not sure where I am going to put it. I will let you know Eman where they put the siren after it's done. Does anyone know how to change the red LED to blue? I think that would look cool! I am supposed to go to the shop today to let them know where I want the light put so I hope I can make up my mind soon. Just wanted to let ya'all know that I got my alarm put in today and it works great. Eman, the siren is inside the hood located by the passanger side strut.(I think they just out a metal screw in it to hold it on. I will have a closer look tomarrow when I have some time. And by the way, I decided to put the LED where honda puts the OEM one, on top of the steering wheel. Looks pretty good!

The company Varad sells a series of LED's specifically designed to replace a car alarm LED. They are extremely bright. Try Varad's website for info/dealers or search ebay for Varad to get a deal. The Blue LED which I just installed is about $10.00-$12.00.

The red LED is usually (on the stock alarm) found next to the steering wheel, just above the panel where the cruise control and mirror adjusting buttons are. G'luck

I got mine put in the little place next to the outlet plug. The installer told me that that place would be easiest and he wouldn't have to take much apart or ruin anything.
