Sound when Lights Left On Doesn't Work

Hey guys, it's been going on for about a year or two now, but I never got around to fixing it. The beeping noise that is suppose to come on when u turn off your car and have your lights on doesn't work anymore. I dealt with it for a while, but I've done it twice in the past 2 weeks, and had to have a friend come by to jumpstart me. Is there like a fuse somewhere that I blew out? I checked the ECU/Fuse box and I don't think there is a fuse for something like that. Hopefully this doesn't require me to dig too deep into the car, cuz I'm not good with technical stuff.

Wow, sorry to revive this topic from the dead, but I have finally gotten around to wanting to fix this problem. I went to my front door to try and find those stops, but I wasn't sure which one it was. If you guys could be so kind as to tell me which one it is, and possibly how to install it, I would appreciate it. Theres those screws under the top one, I don't wanna touch em unless I have to. I realize I never turn my lights on until it gets really dark cuz I'm afraid of forgetting and leaving them on.

I think it's number 16 or 20?

BOOSTLESSD17 is an unknown quantity at this point
It will probably the door switch right under where the door latches. They break easy. It's warranty. When I worked at honda we replaced tons of them.

Wow, sorry for the late reply guys but I've been busy with work and school. Sounds like a pretty complicated process to me, and I've never taken anything like that off before. I don't think my light comes on when I open my door? Is it suppose to? I don't think I ever noticed.

P.S. My car is 4 years old and at 63,000 miles, so it is no longer warranty issue.

it's not hard at all, there is a black rubber switch on the frame of the driver side door, it's thebutton that tells the car that the door is open or closed, the wire either fell off or it's stuck, there's a rubber flap on the buttom that swings down and there is a phillips screw, when u unscrew it u will be able to pull out the switch, there will only be 1 wire connected to the switch, if the switch is broke, take it to the dealer and say "i need this" then they will give you a new one, plug it in, screw it back on, and tada, it's fixxed

yeah its real easy to do, if your really not that confident in doing it, go get an oil change and have a mechanic pop it in, its so simple I doubt they'll charge you
