srs light from type-s seats

ok, so I got these installed today with leather and side airbags. My car didnt come with side airbags so basically I cant use them. Im wondering why the srs light came on though because I switched my seats? I connects the wires and didnt turn on the ignition or even put the key in til I was done with all the seats. Anyone know how to get rid of this srs light?

CivicStudEx is an unknown quantity at this point
check out a DIY....search for it cause i'm not sure where it is, but i reset it with a paper clip....you have to unplug a yellow plug from the fuse and connect the paper clip ends to the yellow plug like 4 times and it'll reset....the DIY is much more helpful than my half-assed walkthrough

EDIT: found the site...hopefully that'll help

anytime you disconnect any yellow plug in your car, the SRS light will come on, this is completely independent from the ignition. Youre actually supposed to disconnect your battery and wait ten minutes before you install your seats, then when you hook everything up, the computer wont register a difference. The reset, however, is pretty simple.

Yeah I read the DIY already and understand it. I just thought it would stay on even if I did it because the installation was done right.
