Yeah so i blacked out my headlights today...well one of my lights isnt working, its on the passenger side, its the driving light i guess. Its not the turn signal, but the one below it. When i was takign them apart, somehow the black seat that the bulb sits in broke, well...just a part of it, so i used electrical tape to keep it on. Anyways when i put eveyrthing bakc together and turned on the lights, that one didnt work. What should i do...i dont know if a new bulb will do it.. and that turn signal doesnt work either for some reason.

So both the turn signal and park (driving?) light aren't working on that side... First check the bulbs - you should be able to plainly see whether or not the filaments are still intact. If they aren't then get some new bulbs and be thankful your problem was relatively cheap. Now if the filaments appear to be intact, the bulbs could still be dead. Try swapping over the bulbs from the other side if you don't have extras handy. If those still don't light up, you could have a problem with the contacts on your passenger side. If the seat (do you mean the plug that the bulb actually plugs into before being put into the headlight assembly?) broke, then again the contacts might not be touching. Check fuses just to cover all your bases, although this is unlikely cause the driver's side lights are working, and finally you might have to worry about the wires themselves. I really hope it's not the latter - I hear changing the wiring is a bizznotch. Good luck.

I think Telly covered all the bases there. It could be the wires but it doesn't seem very likely. I would bet it's the bulb or the socket. Both would be relativitly cheap.. You can buy new sockets at Pep Boys or such, but sometimes they need to order your model .. $10 maybe.

just a reminder, never put finger grease on any bulb other than indascent or it will go boom boom.

Post pics of the lights blacked out on an 04 05 i want to see if it would be kool on my SSM sedan
