hey guys, i realized a problem today (for those of you who want to cut your auto shifter). If you buy the center console trim piece, and you cut your shifter, you will never be able to get it into Park. i have the trim piece, and its hard enough for me to get it into P as it is now (i did not cut the shifter). It constantly gets stuck because of that silver piece that is on the top of the shiftboot. plus, if you cut it, your shiftknob is gonna get in the way when you put it in park (if you have the manual center console, you know what im talking about. there is a plastic piece towards the front under the shift boot)

so basically, its like this: you cut your shifter, your shiftknob might hit that plastic piece under the shiftboot, and you might not be able to get it into park. thus, you wont be able to get your key out, etc.


if you guys want, i'll take pix tomorrow. but, someone please PM me, because i don't check the threads that i post in that often. oh, and if i do take pix, would someone please help me post em, or host them, or whatever? some of you know how long it took me last time
