Yes you need those blue taps. It makes it so much easier, otherwise you're gonna have to try and strip the stock wire without cutting it and tape your other wire to it. Use the splice--it's much easier. Just put the two wires in it, clamp with pliars, and done.
where can i get those?? i cant find it at the radio shaq? i said 4 line tap connectors, am i suppose to say splice taps?
can u tell me how to connect it with out using those blue taps, im willing to just do it like that.

walmart sells them (in the automotive section)
autozone sells them
advance auto parts sells them
pep boys sells them
radio shack should have them
just ask for tap splicers/wire splicers or just ask where wire ends/connectors are.
here's the link for radio shack. They DO have them.

Well it sounds like you have no idea what you're doing. Okay, connect the black wire together and wrap with electrical tape, and then tap it somewhere aside from the cut part. I hope you disconnected the battery during all this or you might cause big problems. Do one wire tap at a time. Black and then power (green or red depending on how you want them to work).
so i reconnect the black wire and the red wire (also cut)
Then i put the black wire in one of those blue tap hole and a red wire in the other hole (i choose red) then just use a plyer to close it, right.
could i use duck tape

ok, since it appears you have no idea what you're doing, i'm going to make it easy for you. You should never just start cutting wire if you don't know what you're doing.
1. Reconnect all the wires you already cut. Meaning, reconnect black wire to black wire, and red wire to red wire.
2. The taps are used so you don't have to cut any wires. You'd connect the black (ground) wire of the sidemarker to the black wire that you had already cut (and now have put back together). Choose a spot on the wire away from where you had already cut. Look at the blue wire tap. It should be evident how it is to be used. If i remember correctly, the existing wire (the one you're tapping into) goes into the blue tap first, meaning closes the the side that's already closed off. Insert the new wire (from the sidemarker) into the other groove in the blue tap.
3. Use pliers, press down the metal clip in the wire tap.
4. Lock the wire tap with its cover.
5. Repeat for red (power) wire using a new wire tap.
Remember, red to red, and black to black. You should never be connecting red to black or black to red.

I really messed up, none of my signals work now, left and right. I did what u said
I connected the ground wire(black) with the black wire from my side marker in the little blue tap. Then i connected the red wire to my other wire(which is brown) from the side marker in the little blue tap.
But my signal lights dont work, even the side marker. What did i do wrong???

1) Check to make sure you reconnected the cut black wires and the cut red wires properly. If you did, then at least the STOCK signals should work
2) Check to make sure you didn't kill a fuse with all this disconnecting and reconnecting. No offense but it sounds like you probably didn't disconnect the battery either.
3) It's a longshot but check the signal bulbs
4) If conditions 1, 2, and 3 are met, then you can tap your side markers and see if those work.

yea its all connected i did disconnect the battery, but i dont know why my right side signal isnt working when i did nothing to that side. I was only working on my left side marker of the fender.
I probably did messed up the wires on the left side but how come my right side isnt working???
I think the tap splices arent working the way its suppose to.
DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO?

Oh yea, This one time I reconnected the battery to see if the side marker/ signal lights were working but only my signal lights were working so...........
I was lazy to get up and disconnect the battery, so i took the green wire and started tapping on my side marker wire to see if the light was going to work but it didnt and i saw little smoke came out of the wire, thats when i stopped.
Should that be one of the reason why my signal lights arent working???
I think it was working a little afterwards( not sure)

The more I see you post, the funnier you are.
Do yourself a favor. Stop what you're doing and get a friend that knows how to hook it back up. The further you continue with this reconnecting and disconnecting, you will end up paying a shop repairing your electrical system.
