Check Engine Light HELP!!!!!

My car is throwing off this two codes, when I scan them.

P0108 Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit High Voltage
P1298 Electric Load Detector (ELD) Circuit High Voltage

Anybody know how to fix it???
Car is in Safemode I think. It is blocking me going over 3.5rpm
Have stock manifold + cat (LX).

Oh boy. ELD is electronic load detector that tells the alternator to turn on and off. The MAP has to do with intake airflow. If it's throwing codes, you may need to simply (or not so simply) replace the sensors.

are you sure that it isn't a P1108 ???

Do you have a Missing Link installed ???

The reason i ask this is b/c your stock MAP sensor is seeing boost.........this is the cause for the high voltage.

you think if I replace the sensor it will let me get out of save mode or whatever? right now the car won't go over 3.5rpm and keeps on dieing off on me (air/fuel gauage = staying rich). also about the ELD, is it my alternator going bad???

Circled one. Found this pic from LONNNG ago.

I don't have anything install on my car. So i don't think it could not be P1108 - Barometric Pressure (BARO) Sensor Circuit High Voltage.

Chances are you need a new sensor. The car is in safe mode as long as the cel is on. Need to make both those codes disappear first. ELD is related, but not part of the alternator. Optoisolator posted a thread about that a long time ago.

I will try replacing the MAP sensor tommorrow. You think that i can get a MAP like autozone / adv auto??? Or I have to go back to dealer?

I did found the threat that Optoisolator made for ELD, but it doesn't really tell me anything. Most people that is having problems with ELD is running heavy stereo and I am not.
