autoshift knob doesn't move

autoshift **** doesn't move
Whenever I put the car in park, I can't move my automatic shiftknob into other gears the way I used to (step on brake and press the release button). I have to put my key in the shift lock release slot to move the shift ****. Anyone have this problem? Can this be a electrical problem like a blown fuse?
