Ive researched this but didnt find very solid answers.

OK I have a 2001 Honda Civic coupe lx with the factory optional side airbags in the stock seats. I need to find out if the RSX seats with similar side airbags with be 100% compatible. I need to know if the seats will swap in and the airbag connectors will connect perfectly, and if you can then reset the SRS light and have the light stay off. I need to know if after these seats are installed the RSX side airbags and my stock front airbags will all work perfectly still and in the event of a wreck. I have had some rough experiances with seat swaps in my car and I need to concrete descriptive responses.

I talked to the dealership who said that he would need to compare the seat diagrams and all the wiring and sensors to see if they would be compatible and not just look compatible. Thanks in advance for your help.

I recently installed the RSX Seats in my car but have yet to go to honda to have them reset the SRS that had turned on with my other pair of racing seats...The harnesses all plugged directly in with no problem.. On thing that I did notice was that the safety feature that disarms the side airbags say when someone is leaning on them and deactivates the side airbags works .. I am assuming if I take it in that should eliminate the srs light completely..

I installed 2002 SIR seats in my civic coupe and everything was fine. The plugs fit perfectly and I was able to reset the srs light myself.
I think the RSX should be the same.
