Aye, don't remove the light. It's there for a reason, try and find and fix the problem. But if your really want to know how, just pull out the guages and disconnect the light pin or take out the bulb.
But if you want to pass smog, just splice the bulbs wire with one of the other lights that come on for a sec, maybe temp light, or battery and that will look legal. But remember it NOT!

IDQcivic should not be trusted
if the lights on, something is wrong with your car, it will run in a safe mode that takes away power from the motor, take it to a dealer and get it fixed, dont try some half-*** way to fix it, remember this is your car, you want it to be reliable..... dont go messing with cutting and splicing wires just to get the light go off when there is something wrong, just my advice....

you can turn off the light by resetting the ecu.

go to the fuse box under the hood and remove the ECU fuse.
then but your key in the ignition and turn to ACC and count to 5.
remove the keys and put the fuse back in.....
start your car....lkight is now gone!!

if you had your car replaced, the reason why the light is on is because the put the o2 sensor in the wrong spot, it happened on my car, have whoever did it call honda and ask them if the 02 sensor goes on the front, middle, or back of the cat, and which ever they tell you, put the sensor in that place. on the new hondas, the sensor has to be in the correct place in order for the light to go off.
