an extra bolt hole? strange, I wouldnt worry about it unless it leads to an open space in the taillamp. Maybe its an airhole for the lamp in case of fogging or something. But that wouldnt make sense either because a sealed lamp will not fog. Is the hole threaded at all or just a hole. I would just seal it up with a bit of silicone to be sure and throw it in, cant hurt not using it if all the stock bolts fit up right.

^^ya i agree. The other alternative would be drilling and id never do that. Id say if the lamp is secured with the other bolts just do what he said...if not then u need to think of something else!

No, there's an extra bolt in the taillight assembly and no hole in the car for it to go into. so i can't even get the taillight to seat properly.

ok i get it...so there is a bolt sticking out as part of the assenbly, and there is no hole to slide it in and throw a nut on the other side. Its probably actually a part of the taillight that you cant just take out. You shure it was made for that exact model?
