I know this is a civic site but everyone here has always been helpful. my girlfriend just got the tyc tail lights for her 01 eclipse. does anyone have any experience with these? there is an extra bolt in the taillight assembly but no hole for it to go into? know what i mean? any suggestions? thanks
an extra bolt hole? strange, I wouldnt worry about it unless it leads to an open space in the taillamp. Maybe its an airhole for the lamp in case of fogging or something. But that wouldnt make sense either because a sealed lamp will not fog. Is the hole threaded at all or just a hole. I would just seal it up with a bit of silicone to be sure and throw it in, cant hurt not using it if all the stock bolts fit up right.
^^ya i agree. The other alternative would be drilling and id never do that. Id say if the lamp is secured with the other bolts just do what he said...if not then u need to think of something else!
ok i get it...so there is a bolt sticking out as part of the assenbly, and there is no hole to slide it in and throw a nut on the other side. Its probably actually a part of the taillight that you cant just take out. You shure it was made for that exact model?
i just traded my 01 eclipse for my civic... i had no problem with the tyc tails on mine.
i do know that the 03+ had different tails and you had to just saw the extra bolt off. but if you want ones that fit i have them for sale.. haha
