Throttle Cable Question
Throttle Cable Question
This is for all of you who tightened their throttle cable and brought up the rpms: did you notice any loss in mileage (mpg)?
I'm thinking of slackening the throttle cable slightly to maybe increase mileage....

hey dude you're supposed to tighten the throttle cable but not
as much that it brings up the RPM'S. If the RPM'S are up from normal
then u went too far . And of course if ur RPM'S are up then it takes more
gas to do that and you obviously are gonna see your MPG go down .
You tighten the cable so when u push the gas pedal ur car reacts faster
thats the only reason why you do that , just untighten it a little and you'll be fine .

slacking(dunno if its a real word) it more than stock isn't going to bring down your gas mileage.. its just gonna delay the response your car makes when you press the gas pedal...
a good throttle cable is tight enough to give you instant response, but it shouldn't raise up the rpm...
