o2 censor on straight pipe taking Cat. converter off
I'm pretty sure all the civics have the 02 sensor on the Cat it but here it goes, I want to get rid of my Cat and get a straight pipe instead, but theres an O2 sensor on it, would I have to drill a hole for the o2 sensor to fit the straight pipe or what ? please help me out .Thx

where are you planning on getting the straight pipe? muffler shop? they can easily weld in a o2 sensor bung in the stock location...

not necessarily...there have been people who've had no problems for months and are still having no problems with cel's....
i would however allocate funds for a o2 sim...your car will run like crap whenever the cel is on

depending on your laws, most muffler shops arent allowed to remove a cat converter unless they put another one in its place, it is illegal for them to put in just a straight pipe. But like I said, arizona laws might be different then texas laws.

they make 02 sensor bungs that u can weld into the pipe, it will moer than likely still come one bc the readings will be the same as the first 02 sensor, and technically it should be cleaner. most chain muffler shops wont take the cat off unless they can put another one in the same location as the original stock position for fear of major fines
