Hooking up PS2 to LCD

I been wanting to do this for a while but I dont know it works how I think it works. I wanna buy a plain LCD screen-6 or 7 inch- and then hook up my PS2 to it. Is this possible? Like hook up all the sound to my speakers in the car and just run the PS2 to the plain LCD screen. If you guys can help me out, thanx in advance.

your ps2 has three plugs, right? a video, then audio left and audio right. You take the video plug, and plug it into the screen. You plug the two audio plugs into your sound system (not sure if you can do that; depends on the HU) Pretty simple

It works. I have a PIONEER head unit and that's exactly what I did. Video signal from the PS2 to the monitors on my headrest and then an FM modulator for sound. It would be better to find a headunit that has audio inputs. Plus - great place to watch DVD's Minus - no TV tuner
