Throttle Cable Help
ok this is really starting to **** me off. on friday i decided i wanted to up my idle to 1000rpm just to test it out. well i started messing with my throttle cable (not the first time ive done this) and i never could get it to exactly 1000rpm so i said **** it. put it back to normal. then today i started messing with it again. i pulled the cable as far right as it would go and tightened it, when i test drove it every time i pressed the clutch in it would jump to 3000rpm. so i was like wtf. and tried to fix it. after school i went to my local racing shop to work on it some more. once again i pulled the cable as far right as it would go and tightened it. then i revved it. it started to idle at 2500rpm. so i fixed it and i pulled it enough to where i could leave. theres not very much slack in the cable, but at the same time it seems that the idle has dropped down to like 650 or something. wtf is going on. also when i pulled into my garage i decided to rev it a couple times. i started looking at my A/F ratio gauge while revving and i noticed that when i revved it to no more than 3000rpm the A/F ratio just stayed lean but i had to rev it really hard before it would jump to rich. could someone tell me how to fix this problem?

I have no idea what I'm talking about, but...
I would say get the idle back to where you want it and then reset the ECU. That might fix it.
Notice my proper use of CAPS LOCK key.

If you have your throttle cable so that there is no slack id leave it there (thats where mine is) if you want to let the car idle at 1,000rpm press your foot on the gas lightly when you stop.. there is no point to do that on a daily driver.
