Question on painting interior pieces

over the weekend i painted the center piece in my 02 civic coupe ex, and right when it was drying my ****ing dog knocked over the chair it was drying on and it got a lil messed up. what should i use to get the paint off and do it again? i had 2 coats of primer and three coats of paint, i dont want to use anything to strong to eat away the plastic so if any one has any tips on what i should use to get it ioff so i can do it agian please post! thanxs
(even though it is messed up a little bit it looks so nice, i cant wait to fix it it just bothers me sooo bad)

I wouldn't use any chemical to strip it considering the plastic underneath is probably weaker than the paint you used, LOL. I'd just sand it down, re-primer, and do it over. I have to do the same to my center console piece too....boo-urns....

That I'm not sure...nothin too gritty. I use 400 to prep, but to strip i'm really not sure.

800 to remove paint?? that must take FOREVER!

and yea...WET PAPER ONLY or else you'll end up scratching the hell out of the plastic.

oh, not 800 to remove paint, just to prep it and get the roughness out. does he really need to completely remove the paint? If I were him, i'd just take some sandpaper and remove the imperfections in the paint, and then just paint over it.
