i got the matrix ones and mtec bulbs i haven't had a burnout . and they are street legal! they do require a little mod though with the parking light. i like the way the matix projectors look headon 3 straight circles very clean. if the assembly is sealed right then there shouldn't be any foggyness or condensation. my bulbs are also 100w
and i havent had any problems the wires are very tough.

Wow, thanks a lot Azure, that was really helpful. Unfortunately I don't have a Sedan so I'm gonna have to buy an EX sway bar, but I think he said they were only like $100. Installation doesn't look like it should be too difficult, it's just gonna take me awhile to save up the necessary funds. And thanks for the tip acidbaby, I think I'll see if I can find some Matrix projectors at a decent price and then buy myself some Mtec bulbs. I appreciate all your help guys, and I'll definitely post again if I have anymore questions (or once I get a response from bigjoshracing).

No problem. Good luck! And yes, let us know when Robert replies to your email.

BTW, I thought you had more posts than just two. It says you had 11 posts on page 4. Did you make a new account with the same name?

Alright guys, I got a response back from Robert of bigjoshracing.com. I'll paste what I wrote first and then what his response was:

My question:
"What's up man, I just had a quick question about the Kamikaze headers on a
'03 Civic LX. I know that it's illegal to just stick them on there
because it removes the catalytic converter. My question is though, what
if I was to install LX headers, a high flow catalytic converter, an EX
cat-back exhaust system and EX sway bars to make the cat-back fit on my
car? Would it still be illegal then even though I have a catalytic
converter installed? Because I read somewhere that the only CARB legal
headers available for my car are the DC Sports headers and I'd rather not
get those. Anyway man, thanks for your time."

Robert's response
"thats a hard one, any modification to your car makes it illegal, the nice
thing about kamikaze headers is its a total bolt on header, most people
just switch them out at emissions time. The lx header can be swapped out in
about 45 min. The extra cat you would have on the car would pose no problem
at all. I am not a legal expert on this stuff but alot of guys runs this
method. Thanks Robert"

So there you have it, either way I'd be running illegal out there. So I'll probably just end up going with his method of buying the LX header, high-flow catalytic converter... and wait was he saying to go ahead and buy the EX sway bar and EX cat-back system, or not? Guess I'll have to ask him if I ever see him signed on here.

Since you're going with that method, you're going to need to do custom piping from the header to the high flow cat and from the high flow cat to the EX cat-back exhaust. And if you're going to do custom piping, you might not need the EX front sway bar because you can ask the shop (that's doing the custom piping) to place the high flow cat somewhere so that it won't get in the way of the LX front sway bar.

BTW, talk to Rob at Tornactive.com (he's also a member at this site, so you can PM him at tornactive). He's selling the Random Technology High Flow Cat in this thread:

http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...=high+flow+cat

It's even better since you're a member of 7thgen because you get 5% off plus free shipping.

Damn man, I dunno, I mean that actually looks like a cat. But what I've just found out though (and this really pisses me off) is that in California ONLY, it's illegal to install an aftermarket catalytic converter. I was not happy when I read this, cuz I really wanted to get a high-flow cat. But what the hell, maybe I'll get one anyway. We'll see.

I'm not sure but I think you do have two cats. Take a look at this picture:

HX Exhaust Manifold and Piping

I got that picture from this page: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...NIFOLD+%281%29

Man, that sucks. Unless you just run no cat so it's easier for you to switch out the header.
