ppl with Hp headers... where do the o2 sensor go on the Hp header? ... where is it located?
or ppl with different aftermarket headers... where is the o2 sensor located?
like Dc sports or kamikaze to name a few examples............
or if you guys relocated... where did you or the mechanics relocated it to?
as the pic below, where the arrow is pointing.. that's the o2 sensor, right?

Sorry i'm replying so late, just got back from work, night shift. Yup, that's the 02 sensor in your pic. I had to relocate the 02 sensors to the bottom of the car, one before and one after the cat. I have the HP top portion, custom downpipe, hi flo cat, and cat back exhaust.

why two o2 sensor?
the pic i have up... that black wire next to the blue'ish colour.. is that the other o2 sensor? or you/mechanic added another one?
what type of exhaust do you have?
how do you like that sound?
..i have a magnaflow with magnaflow resonator... im prolly gonna get the Hp header, im not sure if i want to get the high flow cat also because i dont want the noise to be any louder than it is. from the comments i've heard... the top portion header will give you a deeper tone

so it should be different to your dc header.

I have the 01 LX, there are 2 O2 sensors on the exhuast, first one from your picture, the second one is after the cat. converter...You will need to extend the 2nd O2 sensor if you plan to get an aftermarket high-flow cat. converter...
I've got the HP full race header with downpipe and replacement cat and all that junk
on it, there are two bung's...one about half way down the front of the header...the other is near the 90 before it goes into the cat.......dont think there is a bung after the cat
maybe in the stock exhaust piping...but not on the HP cat itself...so i dunno
I've got an 02simulator and an extra 02sensor; what i was told is that the 02 simulator will go in the first bung hole and the second would be replaced with the dummy sensor, just to plug the hole.
Maybe some one could explain to me if this is right or not....

Hey andy, my exhaust is 2.25" stainless steel mandrel bent piping ending in a Vibrant tuneable axle back exhaust. So if it gets too loud, i can just put the silencer in, but i love the sound. It's really bassy, deep and loud. It's not the high pitched ricey sound. Very happy with it.

I think it has to be added only to mufflers that can fit one inside and lock with a thread and nut. I think they only come with tuneable mufflers. Don't think you can buy them seperately.

Andy, the reason you want the HIGH flow cat is because of the HIGHER flow of the header. Basically a header is like adding an intake, in the the intake is most effective if you buy a higer flow exhaust...and the header is most effective if you buy a higher flow cat.
It will be louder and its completely up to you, but in the HP Race 4-1 header that comes with the high flow cat, its probably the best set up for that particular header

aprboy: i remember a while ago you had to get new wires for the o2sensor
you got it at honda, right? the adaptor kit? or did you get a whole new set of wires?
how much did they cost you??
im also wondering what type of highflow cat you get? a shop had a highflow cat... dont remember the exact name, but it's made by the same manufacture for magnaflow... so basically, same products.. different name.
just wondering whta you used? and how much did it cost you?
Thanks
ps. has the ceramic paint been chipping yet from the header?
thanks

Yup, i got the new wires at Honda from DC Sports. Still waiting though on 3 feet of wiring. Sucks. New wires that just plug into each other. Thick as hell, very well protected. You don't want to know how much it cost me. Let's just say i could have had a carbon fiber hood on my car right now! The hi flo cat is a universal hi flo that cost me 200. Emissions legal The ceramic has come off a bit over the winter but nothing crazy. You'll love the sound that the header makes!!

Azn, my HP header should be in today so I'll give you the cost breakdown, but its definately more cost effective to buy the combo rather then seperate.
As for the wire extension, I spoke with a rep from Honda and they told me that as long as I use zero impedance wire with low impedience solder, then my ECU should have no problem effectively reading the A/F mix and not cause the CEL to go on

is it the same price as you said it was shipped to your house?? or your shop?
i found a Hp header brand new... for dirt cheap. fluke that out somehow.
now all i need is the high flow cat and the wire extention.
im pretty sure most highflow cat are the same. im getting one that is made by magnaflow.. but without the logo ... with a different name.
after everything.. the price would be about the same with what you paid.. and the installatoin price on top that you quote me from your shop
so it's pretty much the same.. with me saving about one to two tanks of gas money
as for the wire extention.. i dont want to do any cutting or nothing to the o2 sensor, so i've been searching all of the GTA today for the o2 sensor adaptor kit... (extensions --- connectors.. so no cutting would be involved, just connecting them)
i dont know what you mean by "use zero impedance wire with low impedience solder" but hopefully those are the ones i have.
i have one wire extention already. i couldnt get another one. i have to wait till monday i think
HATE THE WAITING GAME ... wanted it installed this weekend too.

Right now i have my check engine light on but that's because one of the 02sensors is not plugged in because it is all screwed up. Once i get the new wire i should be fine. Yeah, it's much better than splicing wires. Always that chance of something going wrong. With a whole new harness, your laughing. Wish i had done that the first time. Now i'm just being extra careful and ordering the best wires money can buy, DC Sports.

i figured my last resort was to order extention wires from dc sports, but im not sure if they sell them separately, b/c all shops that deals with dc sports didnt have it in their catalog
i dont konw what brand the wires is, the guy wouldnt tell me, i think he was affraid i would steal his link or something
the wires fit though....... at first, i was iffy if the wires were legit, b/c he wouldnt tell me what brand....
so i dunno... i guess i'll take my chances? i may have 2nd thoughts still... since it's not on my car yet
just that he was the only guy i could find that could get a hold of o2sensor extention wires.
everybody else said, cut them, cut them, make the o2sensor extention for me, or cut them.. and i said no. haha
i considered the guy who said he'll make 'em for me.
but if he's gonna make 'em for me.. it'll prolly be the same stuff as the one guy who said he can get a hold of them.
i do know that the link he got it from.. closed at five. haha o_O
this is the header i got
http://www.hpracing.com/parts_detail...=50-H23&id=29&
but in ceramic
