More voltage or better grounding?

I have been having an issue with my 08 civic and it's voltage... When I turn on the a/c, hit the brakes, turn my wheel quickly etc... the idle drops enough to run rough... I am sick of blipping the throttle to have it not run rough. It drives great otherwise. Should I get a better battery or, what I did on my 240sx is turn up the idle to 900 which totally fixed that problem... Is there an idle adjustment on this engine and would it affect anything by turning it up 100 rpms?

Re: More voltage or better grounding?

get both and maybe even use iridium plugs they use less power.

Re: More voltage or better grounding?

i know the car is somewhat new, but this is usually caused by clogged IAC valve on the throttle body. its supposed to let more air in when the rpm drops to keep it up around 700 rpms. if its dropping below that and shaking, its usually just a dirty intake system part.

Do the iridium plugs really make a difference on this engine? I haven't heard anything about it on the r18a1... I just don't want to waste my cash on those damn things if I don't need to haha.

The IAC is clean, for sure. But good call. My 240 did that ALOT with the IAC

Re: More voltage or better grounding?

iridium plugs use less power to make the same spark, so you are just improving electrical system efficiency. they do not give any noticable hp over copper plugs. if you have the money, they are worth it, but not necessary.
