engine dosnt rev all the way

I have an 04 too. It's one of the new "safety features" along with that stupid seat belt chime. You can redline it when you're above 5 mph...but not below. So people don't blow the motor trying to do a friggin' burnout.

That's normal. I never tried it with my Civic but it's like that too with my Prelude. Well, don't rev your engine that high when your car fully stop. It just won't do you any good.

Where'd that come from? Who said anything about the D17 being a shitty motor?
Revving to 5k is MORE than enough to enduce a stoplight sprint around these parts.
All I said was, why would you NEED to rev it up HIGHER?

Rep Power: 304 I just smoked my tires yesterday I reved part 5k. I went in reverse then FWD moving myt steering left to right. Smelled really bad first time my tires slipped for so long.
