fuel cleaners
i was just wondering if anyone uses any fuel cleaners. and does they work? i know of fp 60 but its 33 bucks just to ship one gallon. IMO it would be better just to use that for gas. does stp fuel cleaners work. or stp fuel treatment? anyone have anysuggetions?

most fuel cleaners are fluff and not worth the money. if you're going to skimp, then don't bother. otherwise use something that's proven to work and is a proven formula. fp60

^^is this really worth it. do you see a difference when you use it. if you do imma buy some. do you know of anyother place that sells this fp 60.
and wouldnt this treat about 53 tanks since our tanks is about 12 gallons per full. so 2.4 ounces each tank. 128 ounces in a gallon. so 53 treatment. and 64 treatments if you just put 2 ounce each tank. haha so im so mathamatical

its exclusive to the website. they are also lifetime vendors here. i use the oil stuff lc20 all the time its 3.7oz after oil change and 1 oz every 1k miles. oil has been tested and stays good til 10k miles. makes the engine alot smoother too and less growling. fp60 is good also, i dont use it every talk like i used to but its still good stuff. im getting 42 mpg highway using both. never got above 34-38 before that/

quality is not that good man. even with the top tier thing that kinda got started, its only a few stations and even then it hasn't been proven to be any better. if whole fleets are staking millions on their business by using fp60, i think it would be safe enough for my civic.

Gearbox is right. High standards were set by the government, then the oil companies complained about how many billions it would cost them to put all this in, and the government lowered the fuel additives way below what the SAE recommends.

alot of shops like firestone, etc do a fuel system service for 59.99. IMO this is superior to any addatives. Manuel says dont add anything. When I get 100k i may get it done, however i have read articles where american honda says fuel sytem treatments, of any kind arent maintenance items and arent necessary.

sorry to say but honda is completely wrong. normal gas does not contain sufficient additives to keep the motor in good health. the "service" whatever it is is just another additive they add for you either seafoam (which has its own problems) or some may actually send the injectors out for blueprinting, which you could also send yourself, in addition to cleaning the throttle body. you really think they rip apart the block and start scrubbing carbon off the valves?

well yea alot of them can harm as they are too strong for certain fuel systems. i never use anything from the store. lubecontrol.com has been tested and proven, being used in thousands of fleet vehicles that depend on working machines, and in the lab. there is nothing else like it. and believe me you can feel it. the lc makes the engine super smooth, fp should give 2-5 mpg more mileage.

Many of them use nasty things that can hurt your cat or O2 sensor. The costly ones you are talking about are generally safe. But if you want you can take the injector out, sned them off to be cleaned, clean the fuel line with a pipe cleaners, and clean the throtle body by yourself. All that costs nearly $400 at Honda, but you can do it for around $100
