Fuel consumption.

I have noticed that my fuel consumption has increase since the time I bought the car at zero km.

Its at 110k and all I have is a CAI installed everything else is OEM.

What do you all recommenda? Do I need a tune up, or relace O2 sensors? or anything else?

check tire inflation, maybe an alignment if it's been 20k plus miles, spark plugs are cheap and might help, drive slower, drop weight. about all i got

Spark plugs are not cheap.
Although I agree with everything else said.
At 110K your supposed to have your first scheduled tune up.

Alignment I need but its not that bad since my steering wheel is centered and my tires thread are in good shape.

I usually cruse and dont kill the pedel.

I went to the mechanic to ask if I need a tune up since my gas consumption has increase and he recommends replacing the O2 sensor. Does that make any sense?

doesnt honda recommend a complete tune-up at 60k miles?

ive read in motor trend magazines where they advertise a boucsh o2 oxygen sensor, supposely lets your car "breathe" better and get more miles out of it... no idea if its false advertising or what.

cheap is relative, plugs are $2-$15 and i find that cheap

if your o2 sensor was not functioning, you'd have a CEL. for cars i've bought those for, it's been around $100. i wouldn't replace it unless it really isn't working

I paid 15 each for my plugs thats $60 buck for new plugs. With the new ignition you're suppose to use Iriduim or something like that, the old fashion cheap copper ones are bad for a D17, but they use them in the SRT-4's $2 copper ones then they wonder why they break

Anyway, yeah, don't change the O2 unless you have to. That stuff about letting your car breather better is BS too.

look at my profile. My gas mileage is the highest its ever been since I bought the car, sometimes upto 42mpg. Use fp60 fuel cleaner from lubecontrol.com for starters. Then replace all the maint stuff.
