OEM Fog Light Removal Issue...Please Help!

Hey guys, quick question regarding my fog lights. I have a 2005 Civic EX coupe. Recently I noticed my OEM Honda passenger fog light lense has pretty much shattered due to a rock hitting it. I just bought a used (but in good shape) replacement fog light on ebay. It's the same Honda OEM light that's currently on the car. My question is....Is there a way to remove the old fog light and install the new one without taking off the bumper. I tried earlier tonight to get the bumper off but was not very sucessful. Any help would be great appreciated! Thanks

at the very bottom for "bulb replacement" it says there is one bolt holding the housing underneath the bumper. just remove that and the whole assembly should come out.

Re: OEM Fog Light Removal Issue...Please Help!

GearBox...another quick question. How are you supposed to access the washer bolt that will release the fog light so you can pull it out. I see wear you can fit a screw driver into the hole to adjust the fog light but you cannot get a socket threw that small opening. I also pulled out a couple of those plastic plugs on the bottom of the bumper which allowed me to gain access to that washer bolt, but I could not find a socket tip that would fit it. 3/8 was to small and the next higher up was to big. Any suggestions? Thanks Again.

the screwdriver hole is only for aiming adjustment. there should be an actual bolt that is easily reachable near the bottom of the bumper. if its hard to reach, try a flat wrench.

Try metric sockets.

Re: OEM Fog Light Removal Issue...Please Help!

I decided to just take the entire bumper off. I got the light switched out and put the bumper back on. Then when I started put the plastic clips back in on the bottom bumper area, I noticed the fender/wheel area wasn't flush against the body and it wasn't lining up properly. It's too dark out now to correct the problem so I will finish it tomorrow. I think my issue was hooking the bumper into the plastic hooks right below the headlight first. I must be slightly off which is throwing everything else off. Tomorrow I'm going to take the bumper off again, hook the plastic clips on the bottom of the bumper first then hook everything else up. Thanks again everyone.
