Unhappy Turn signal & hazard lights don't work.

Hello, this is my very first post on any forum. Anyways, the turn signals on my 2002 Honda Civic Ex won't work. I Checked the fuse box and the fuse was blown out. I tried replacing it and it immediately blew out again. I noticed that on the passenger side headlight, there's a cable dangling. I didn't know where to reconnect the dangling cable so I left it alone. Could the dangling cable be the cause of the blown fuse and the reason my turn signals won't work?

I'm not much of a car guy, so I don't know what else to do. Please help, and thank you.

Do you have a front marker lamp that is properly working on the passenger side ?? On when lights are in 1st or 2nd position. (same bulb)

I would check the cable and see what is still there, 3 wire plug should be.

When did the fuse open ?? instantly ?? or as you tried the passenger side signal ??

Sorry for the late reply, now my blinkers work, except for the front passenger side. Hazard lights work as well.

When your headlights are at 1st position do you have a yellow marker light at the front passenger side ??

The front bulbs have 2 filaments, 1 for marker lamps & 1 for turn signals,

I just took a look and noticed that both are missing, hence the loose wires. I probably go to the junk yard and find me some replacements. Thank you for your help Craig. Oh and on more thing the passenger side headlight (not the marker lamp or the turn signal) is not as bright as the driver side, think you may know the reason?

Re: Turn signal & hazard lights don't work.

For the marker/turn signal, look in to see if the bulb and socket are in place inside the clear housing. The socket has the pins already molded in place. As to what you have hanging could be another issue the individual connectors are not sold separate, you may need to hit up a scrap yard and splice it in.

Dim headlight ?? Hard to say. Could be resistance from a poor connection dimming etc... Is it both the high and low beam that are dim ??

All lighting problems have been fixed, except for the dim headlight.

What was the fix ??

Headlight: You did not mention if it is both low and high beam that are dim. You could try gently but firmly moving the connector socket at the base of the bulb with your hand with the headlights on and see if it tries to get dimmer or brighter when moving it (dont break your bulb)
