eBay Fog Lights Help

I just installed eBay fog lights, had everything hooked up, good ground and all, and they won't work. I don't have any power to the switch. friend of mine whose got the same car has two plugs that go into the fuse box under the steering wheel, i've only got one. could that be my problem?

Re: eBay Fog Lights Help

i think there was only one inline fuse but i dont remember. uld prolly have to trace the wires to the relay to see what goes where then check if ur gettin power to the relay then see if its engaging when u hit the button, but its more work. it sounds like the same problem i had when installing my ebay fogs, no power at all, so we just cut out the relay completely and it worked. wow its been over a yr since we installed mine

Re: eBay Fog Lights Help

you cut out the relay and directly connected the two wires? or did you replace the relay. that sounds like it would work, what about the clips going into the fuse box, did you have one or two?

also, would i have to add a fuse in the fuse box for the fog lights?

thanks again for the help, it'd be too easy if these came with instructions...lol.

Re: eBay Fog Lights Help

yeah there was an inline fuse. the problem is the button wasn't getting power. so i tested all the lines going to the relay (which was good) and determined which one needed power. spliced a power line from the ignition harness into the fog lights and they work like a charm now.
