Benefits of yellow fogs?

What are the benefits if any of haveing yellow fog lights? And What are the best foglights on the market that produce the most light? Not worried about price. And can you use that yellow film on every foglight?

thanks

i think the yellow is lights up a different spectrum or some crap like that so u can see some stuff ur headlights dont show that well.

brightest = HID fogs!! yeyeye

not sure about being able to use the yellow film on all headlights but i dont see why not as long as it doesnt get super hot

There's zero benefits of using yellow film on fog lights.
People do it for look, that's it.

Yellow is crappy for vision, no matter how you spin it.
You always lose output when you are using films.

I agree, on both.. nokyas are very nice, if i had halogens (silverstars or maybe i'd use nokya bulbs if i was goin halogen) i might get the white nokya fogs. but yellow is very nice w/ HID, and also very easy to see.

fog lights are suppose to be secondary lights and not replacements for your headlights. Have you guys ever driven in heavy fog or heavy rain with hids or white bulbs? You can't see crap because all the light is being reflected back at you from the water molecules.

reason foglights are yellow is because its a color that is easy to see in bad weather conditions.

If you want it for looks get some hid foglights probably white or a bluish white. If you want it for function get yellow halogens or yellow hids.

Yellow light is much less subject to dispersion than bluish light, that means it scatters far less than bluish light when it hits water droplets in rain and fog, and therefore is far better for for poor weather driving as auxillary fog lights. It works so much better than bluish light, that some European countries allow yellow headlamps as their primary driving lights. They're a specific yellow called "selective yellow". In north america, yellow lights are reserved for auxillary fog lights and are of a lower output so they must be used in conjunjuction with your driving lights.

in some states (like illinois), yellow fog lights are considered "city lights" and can be used with headlights at night in the city (white fogs are not allowed).
