LED's die in headlight housing???

I installed some white (194) LED's in my parking lights socket, and they died real quick, like 2 days quick...

Does this happen with LED's in high heat environments or was it i just my luck???

Let me know...

also, can anybody recommend any good white LEDs, assuming they are good to go in the housings...

thanx

well its hard to say. the parking lights are blocked off a little from the headlight, however the design is poor on hondas part. that socket hole is very tiny causing even regular bulbs to burn fast. but yea leds dont like heat. or it could just be crappy leds. just order a holder and wire in your own led.

www.superbrightleds.com

you can also look up the forward voltage and current on that site for each led and input them in this calculator to determine which resistor. then goto radioshack and buy a pack. the resistor goes on the positive lead. total voltage = around 14.4v alternator. the rest you look up on the spec sheet.

You can buy clear 194 empty casings that you use to build the leds from www.autolumination.com
