Progress pictures
Pictures.

Things to do.
1)Aim seems to be way too low and fix the passenger side projector.
2)Need to find some cheap oem headlights. current ones are pretty much ****ed up, melted and scratches on the housing.
I know there are better projectors out there and these seems to be ok.
OEM Matsushita ballasts, Osram D2R 4300k, 350z reflector projectors.
I NEED to fix that stupid glare on the passenger side and need to aim bit higher.
Need to paint relfector housing, giving too much glare on the passenger side as you can see.

take out the stock reflector completely and mount the projector to the plastic housing. i'm probably going to do that over the summer break.
looks like your headlights are coming along nicely though. cant wait to see the final product

i dont really have pictures, but just imagine a metal plate on both sides of the black plastic housing with a hole in the center that is large enough for the stock bulb hole cover thing. then drill some holes and bolt that mother down. now you have a metal mounting plate on your headlights. mount the projectors onto the metal plate somehow, and then you have a really ugly but really functional retrofit.

Not sure I am going to like that look, when it's finished.
I need to take these apart and redo it anyways.
Going to paint the reflector, if it helps any..
Reflectors should look something like this, once it's painted

I wonder if anyone makes custom shroud for z projectors?
Probably not huh. These aren't too popular. lol.

Ok, had some time to take headlights apart again.
Won't be using 350z projectors anymore.
Just won auction for Lexus RX330 projectors.

Using picture from hidplanet.

Output should be close to this.
Also ordered phillips D2S bulbs 85122.
Still got my eyes on matched set of TSX's and prices are going UP>

Yeah the rx330 projectors will be a huge improvement over the 350z ones. The 350z ones are crap. You can keep your reflector bowl in, but you are going to have to cut a huge hole in the reflector bowl in order to mount the projectors on there. Try to mount the projector so it lines up with the stock holes are where the bulb usually goes. It should keep your alignment pretty straight and make sure your rotational alignment is as perfect as possible before you finalize where your going to mount them.
Just black out the bowl before you seal them up and should reduce the glare by quite a bit.
Maybe do a washer mod to give it a little more color. Hope things go well.
