fog light bulbs
I got the 04 fogs with laminx and 50 watt h8 bulbs and I was wondering the same thing because I was running these for like 10 minutes and I touched the foglight and it was pretty hot.

Rep Power: 0 i will never put an higher wattage bulb in a projector thats not meant to handle it. same goes for using different application bulbs.
i bought some piaa foglamps that use an h3 bulb rated at 35w. i went ahead and bought a set of h3 piaa bulbs that were rated 55w hoping i will get much better light output and i did. eventually, the 55w bulbs heated up and melted the surrounding sealant on my foglamp lenses.
so whatever decision you make, try not to make the same mistake as i did

Rep Power: 0 I used to do the same with my old Ford Escape: running 50w bulbs when I was supposed to use 27w.
Luckily nothing melted or burned, but even then the bulbs would only last a few weeks before they burned out...

Rep Power: 788 check the bulb itself for actual wattage. mine said 55w on the bulb and 80w on package. the stage 1 are all stock watts i think.

Rep Power: 788 the nokyas already look alot brighter than stock. i wouldn't risk putting hi wattage cause its hard for heat to escape the fog light
