the wire colour is red. the wire is a return from the fuse. the connector i need is a 3prong but the one for it is a 2 prong like for part 3.

I show a red wire going to pin 4 of the fog light switch, The other wire in that plug is shown as red/black at pin 3 of the switch. (with aftermarket, the wire colors may not match)
Those 2 wires on my info are going to "interior lights system" for switches illumination.
You could get somewhat similar single connectors or cut the plug and remove the wires and connectors and put them in place. I WOULD MAKE SURE OF WHERE TO PUT THEM FIRST !!

i'm guessing you have the actual OEM cuz i have the replicas so its probably different. i was going off of this DIY http://www.geocities.com/bellz252/pdf/diyfoglights.pdf if you look at the pic of the fuse box you'll see the white connector with red wire. i dont have that connector.

I followed the exact same instruction when I installed my replica fog. The pic shows my wiring. I used # 2 & 3 since the #1 (w/ green plug) was already used for something else when I bought it new.

Let's assume all fuse box layout is the same. Then, I am using only 1 of the 3 prongs on the fuse box to power the fog lights. What brand of replica fog lights do you have? Mine is from ES-Depo. There is only 1 wire on the far right of the plug#2.

mine are from Robear and they're ES Depo as well. another thing is my switch doesnt fit for where its supposed to go on the center console, probably cuz i have an 03, so i'll probably have to get a switch from Honda.
EDIT- checked out majestic honda, an 03 switch is cheaper and a different part number than an 02 switch, sweet.

I have a 02 LX. I never try the center console because I put the switch on the left where the sunroof switch is on EX. It barely fit through the hole though. If it were from Depo, I think they should somehow be the same. I wonder what's wrong?!

Xenin .. let me know what your local dealer charges and/or quotes you on the foglight switch. I went the eBay route and the switch sucked so it got sent back. Not about to buy the switch off Honda, as they quoted me 51$ .. giving me two part numbers - as they weren't sure which was which. Found a different part number (and much cheaper) on Majestic, but have to account for not getting the garage pricing

At the moment, my replica switch is en-route back to the seller, so don't exactly need to buy it. I'm currently fog-light capabilities diminished.. but at least they fill up the look of the car a little
) Well I guess I could just wire all the wires together.. the connector was junk anyways and the wires got soldered on.. Thread Starter

mine was $53.xx after taxes, so i guess mine was cheaper for some reason. which company made your fogs? if anything, when i come to montreal we can meet up and see if this replica switch i have works at all. i wouldnt want to see you in the same situation as me where mine dont work.

well i got the foglights working now. mashed the spade so that it would hold onto the prongs and success! they work. gonna wrap it with electrical tape to make it secure. now my other problem is that the connector for the switch is a different shape from my OEM 03 switch. so i'm gonna have to adapt it which shouldnt be too hard. i just have to figure out which wire goes to what. theres only 1 wire from the exterior to the interior then it splits up, 4 wires go to the relay and 5 wires go to the switch, is it safe to say those 5 wires are all the same?

Sorry I was not much help on original problem. The 5 wires are not the same. I can send you the info I have on the switches wiring (OEM) 2 leads are illumination, 3 are switching and "on" indicator wiring. Let me know if you need it.
