Question LED, and gauge faces

Guys,

this is my first post, and at the risk of sounding like a complete
idiot, I have a few questions..maybe yall can help.
I just bought an 04 Civic VP coupe, (hence username),
and I want to kinda add to the aesthetics a bit.
LEDs - I'm putting a bandpass in the trunk and want to light it
up with blue LEDs. Where is the nearest place I can draw power from?
I know how to wire the LEDs themselves (thanks to another thread)
but how do I get the wire there from the power source? Would I want
to wire it so they come on with the headlights at night, or use a switch?
Gauge faces - I sat in a Corolla S, and I loved the white gauge face.
So I wanna put one in my VP, but I don't think they make specific ones
for that model. Are the speed gauges the same for the others (EX etc)?
These off of ebay look like they would work, but can someone confirm?

How hard is it to install these? Am I in over my head?
Thanks in advance, I love this forum cause I've learned so much
already...always a good thing.
thanks,

Mac

PS: the gauge on the right and the speed gauge are the only ones I could
use...the VP don't have a Tach. They look the same, same style and position, I just wonder if I put them in whether or not the MPH will be accurate...

What I did for my trunk lighting was tap a relay into the remote amp turn-on wire (the skinny one) then used that to switch power to the LED's from the main 12V amp power wire that runs into the trunk. You could also just tap into the trunk light (the one that turns on when your trunk is open). Can't help you with the gauges I'm afraid.

You can make your own white face indiglo gauges. I'll search for the link later.

Telly,
that's exactly what my friend said....I can't believe I didn't think of it.
That's what I'll end up doing, shoot, I may even throw on some pix
later when I install them.
Gearbox,
that'd be awesome. My main concern is that the MPH is accurate, and that
the gauges line up and fit. How hard is it to install a new face?
thanks much for the help...

you should get an 04 ex cluster and install it in your vp they look good and have a tach
I did it to my vp and the install time was about 2 hours and well worth it.

I would but I don't have much $$$.
I don't really need the Tach, I'm not a dragger, I just like
the aesthetics of the whiteface gauges. It looks awesome
with a black interior...probably my experience in that black
Corolla S inspired that feeling.
Oh yeah, if I do pix, can I do a DIY thread on LEDs in a bandpass,
or is that already in existance?
As for hot asian chix...wal...SoCal has a few, but I don't know much
about Asian chix. Sorry, not much help there.
