Do you have stock or altezza tails?
You guys are making me feel dumb for buying TYC chrome tails. When I put them on last week just to see how they look, they actually blended very well with the car. They seemed to flow with everything I had and really complemented the silver windshield sticker I have on the back window along with the body kit. I took them off though because its winter and I didnt feel liek having them on.
Altezzas do look bad on some cars but they look good on others and I think they look decent on mine, better then stock atleast. Maybe if I have htem on long enough I'll get tired of them but as of now, I think they look nice.

I have CF tails and like them much more than stock and I can't stand the altezza onesCF Tails

Stock tails for me, I have the 01 Civic.
I find that the stock light pattern is better then the altezza pattern.
I did think about getting altezzas when they first came out, but then I decided not to.
The stock civic look is the best look hands down.

The APC tails were like the very first part that came out for the 7thgen. I know because I bought my car before anything became available. When the tails came out I bought them because they were available. So, not only was my car unique because it was the first in the whole damn city but it was more unique because of those tails. I still have them and will likely be painting them or something. All I've done to them is put red bulbs behind the lenses...looks good to me.

How is it rice if it looks good? I seen those huge aluminum wings that actually look good on a car, just because for the most part they dont doesnt automatically make it rice.

Rep Power: 0 I had the donut style altezzas....but I got pulled over to much because they're to flashy.... I guess. But back to stock right now but Im gonna mod the altezzas and make it chill...
I dont think there's really a def on rice. and I dont care my ride is rice or weed or what the fk ever it's just that I want it unique. Rice should be a good thing insted if you know what I mean. it's way of espressin your self, not driving what everyone else does. lol

Rep Power: 0 I've got TYC altezzas, now that i think about it i wish i would have saved the money, kept the stock ones on there and gotten lowering springs. but i do think that the TYC altezzas look better than the other altezzas. BTW, the new 04 (or is it 05) civic has nice tailights...maybe they'll fit into ours

Altezzas can look good on some cars but I prefer stock tails. Plus they're unique! I mean, c'mon...gotta love those sideways "horseshoes"...

Rep Power: 0 well my stocks are back on... i am satisfied now. i had chrome tyc's, and got tired of them, it was just SO much chrome. then i got black chrome donut style, which black chrome against a black car makes the black chrome look like crap, and plus, the donut style lights are the ugliest ones available, i dont know what i was thinking. i think i posted all this before, i cant remember, and dont feel like checking.
BOTTOM line..........any one with altezzas should realize u just spend 200 bucks for no damn reason!!! stock is what everyone should go with for my opinion....i think we all started really ricey at 1st though cause i sure did!
The idea of even changing tail lights = rice. What's the point of modifying YOUR SAFETY EQUIPMENT? "So he/she can notice my tails after I beat them in a race?" That's like buying new APC glow-in-the-dark airbags for your steering wheel and dash board.
How about putting your money in your car where you'll be so far ahead of them they won't be able to tell what kind of tails you have?

again, I own a civic (so do you), and I dont think I will be beatin many cars in races with it
so I just desided to mod it to my taste. I am sure you guys have all kinds of different taste and you gotta RESPECT others' as well. I mean..otherwise why add those stickers to your car? does that help you go fater? I dont think it does..it's just your way of look that you like. you know what I am sayin?
there are 2 kinds if tuning a car, the first is modding your car to go fast. as fast as possible. the second kind is to mod your car to look really good and unique. if u r going for all go, then good for you, save your money for a turbo. if you are going for all show, then good for you too, save your money for 19inch wheels and beautiful taillights. if you are going for both Show and Go then good for you, save your money for whatever u want.

I agree with player . I also think it's a matter of location. In CO I don't see that many altezza's...at least not around my neck of the woods. So, they aren't so "played out" and I kinda like them.
However, if I'm going to spend money on tails, I'm DAMN SURE gonna have most, if not ALL of my, "GO" mods done first. It's like making a statement of "I'm Billy BadAss...what's your name?" with out being able to back it up. But...that's just my opinion...and I'm rednek so hoo kares...rite? lol
Here's a pic of my custom tail light covers..i think they look ok. i didnt like any of the aftermarket tails so i figured id do somethin custom so i painted these to match my car. If anyone wants to paint anything on their car go to paintscratch.com for the paint. They match your car color exactly..got good stuff...
