TPMS Calibration Not Available on IMID screen

Hi Folks;

I recently put my Spring/Summer tires on my 2014 Civic EX. When I try to Calibrate the TPMS, it is not available in the IMID Menu.

Ignition to II
Press MENU and go to Vehicle Menu
Customized Settings, then press the SOURCE button.
TPMS Calibration not there to Select.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Re: TPMS Calibration Not Available on IMID screen

Is the TPMS selection grayed out, or is it missing altogether?
If it's grayed out then conditions aren't right.

Try it with the engine running.
Shifter in park. (if manual trans, shifter in neutral and handbrake set)

From the owners manual:

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON

2. Press the MENU button to go to the
Vehicle Menu screen.

3. Select Customize Settings with the (+/(-
button, then press the SOURCE button.

4. Select TPMS Calibration with the (+/(-
button, then press the SOURCE button.
u The display switches to the
customization setup screen, where you
can select Cancel or Initialize.

5. Select Yes with the (+/(- button, then
press the SOURCE button.
u When the calibration is complete, the
The TPMS has been initialized.
message appears, and the display returns
to the customization menu screen.

• If the Unable to initialize TPMS. message
appears, repeat steps 4-5.

Re: TPMS Calibration Not Available on IMID screen

Thanks for the quick response.
I've tried it with the car started and off. The tpms calibration is not in the menu to be selected.

Oh wait, you are in Canada?
Does the car even have TPMS at all?
Do you have the butt icon idiot light "(_!_)" in the tach cluster?

If nothing else, go to the dealership, hopefully it's still under warranty.

I have exactly the same issue Civic Tourer 2014. I have previously been able to recalibrate but the option no longer appears. Did you resolve it?

i have exactly the same issue. The TPMS option is no longer there. I have previously had it available and been able to recalibrate after inflating tyres following warning light. Did you solve it?

my sons 2012 civic DOES NOT have the option for TPMS Calibration (#4 above). Every video that I have watched takes me right to that option. When I scroll up, this option is not even available to choose. Any suggestions?

Re: TPMS Calibration Not Available on IMID screen

I have the exact same issue with my CRV 2013. When changed tires last year the TPMS calibration option was there but this year it's just gone (not grayed out, gone). On top of that when TPMS light is on, I cannot turn off traction control which makes it harder to get out the snow if the car is stuck somewhere. I tried removing the battery for 30 min which reset everything but the option was still gone. Searched for firmware update options but there aren't any. Scanned the car at my friend's garage and removed all the error codes. That cleared the TPMS light for 1h then it came back on and the TPMS calibration option is still gone from the menu. The car is out of warranty so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How long has it been since the last time you had to do the tire reset yourself or anyone else know for certain it was used

and has the car had any work done between then and now.

when TPMS light is on, I cannot turn off traction control
Normal. See owners manual.
