Unhappy 98 LX power windows

on my 98 lx the rear driver side window only goes down the front passenger window only goes up but the driver goes up and down. haven't plugged in the rear passenger but can only assume it does something funny as well... checked all the fuses and even put brand new ones in since the previous owner abused it. wondering if anyone knows where i should start. i've replaced the switch on the rear driver side door but still does the same. i've also checked the voltage and everything seems right until it gets to the motor wires where it seems to put 12v on both leads when it is supposed to go up. this is after the connector for the motor that it goes to both.

Re: 98 LX power windows

Voltmeter or test light
Good wiring diagrams
Read and understand the diagrams, test accordingly..

evaluate master switch
try to operate the windows from the wiring in the drivers door
Know those cars tend to break wires in the door jambs.

Re: 98 LX power windows

thanks. i've been reading that they do that. i haven't actually taken apart the drivers door yet. but i will try that next. i was wondering if the master switch would have anything to do with it. and i've been looking for just door wiring diagrams

thanks again
