Re: Replacing right rear quarter window

Just take it to a glass shop, probably only $100 for the job. Maybe less

I might have to do that.
They do have the piece on ebay for like $65 dollars, but I need to find out how to take out the old piece and put in the new one. I can't really find info on it anywhere though.

Re: Replacing right rear quarter window

I actually did the left one on my old civic so I can provide some insight.

I went to a junkyard and pulled one using a filleting knife. Took a decently long time but came out pretty easily. I removed the one on my car the same way and then shaved down the mating surface so it was relatively smooth. I wiped it down with some rubbing alcohol, applied a decent layer of windshield caulking, then taped it to my car and left it overnight. Haven’t had a problem since and that was probably 3 years ago.

I was quoted like $250 for just the window. Not sure why, probably because it’s less common?

*UPDATE*

I took off the door panel, and got rid of the old quarter piece, it was relatively easy to take out. I ordered the replacement piece on ebay for like $65 dollars.

Re: Replacing right rear quarter window

My question is how important is the piece of trim on the front portion of the window you know the part that kind of hugs the contour of the car body I mean I guess it acts like a shield because there's caulking behind it but I couldn't help but damage that portion a little bit does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'll try to get a picture uploaded

I'll need a photo. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's fairly important.
