Where is the FM antenna?
Pinky and the Brain was an awesome show. The reason I ask is for my XM radio SureConnect FM antenna thingy. It has a connector that sticks to the window that needs to sit over the FM antenna and I thought it was the vertical strips but I am not so sure now... the top three strips under the black dots are a little thicker plus they do not get warm with the defrost on...

That piece won't work very well with the antenna setup in your car. If anything I'd try running it nearer the deck itself, or just get away from the FM mod thing entirely. The sure connect isn't designed for window-integrated antennae.
ya, just get the regular xm antenna and run it under your dash up your a pillar, beneath the molding on the rooof and then set it up in the center of your roof, thats what i did

Here are photos of the window adapter.

the sure connect is the pickest piece of junk. just pony up the 30 bucks and get the fm direct adapter. You dont even have to take out the deck to install it. The antenna can be grabbed in the passenger kick.
The SureConnect is working quite well in my vehicle... I am just trying to make sure it is on the FM antenna and not the window defroster.

Im impressed, the cars i tried it on, it didnt work to well.
the fm antennas going to be up high, and the lines wont be connected to each other on the sides like the defroster is

It will actually override the signal of the regular FM channels I listen to
. I am questioning the four vertical lines that come from the bottom of the window because there are three lines that appear to be thicker that sit at the top of the window under the black dots that do not get warm when the defroster is on. Those three at the top run side to side though. This is why I am a little confused. Does anyone know of any documentation that shows where the FM antenna runs in the rear window?

The top lines is correct, If you look they do not connect to the grid below.
My XM antenna is inside the car, mounted on the back deck center. only in a few places is the signal affected by buildings and hills.
