muahha remote antenna mod
i got a generic kinda alarm from my uncle. it works good, its just that the antenna range sucked ballsssss.. so i decided to fix it. also i had to repair a button that was "sticking"
i took it apart.
soldered in a new antenna (antenna came form one of my cool lil mini tomy bit char-G racers ehehe)
and voila
i get really good range.. lol like 2 or 3 blocks rang, versus the 1 range with the stock antenna
stock is the small one
the one insdie the remote is the new one

Note: If you want to do this right, you need to find the frequency that the alarm uses and then make sure that the length of the antenna is a factor of the wavelength. IE: 1/4 wavelength, 5/8 wavelength, 1 wavelength. This way the antenna is best tuned for the frequency to give maximum potential.
Another thing you can do is build a small power amplifier inside of the remote to give true gains.
