Hi, i broke the engine of my honda civic 2004 Dx its standard i would like to know witch engine could i use ? i know its not vtect its a 1.7 right ? can any one point me at the right direction ?
There is no reason not to use a vtec engine as a base for swap. You never need to hookup the vtec selenoid for it run. At some point in the future if you add a vtec controller you will feel increase in power from 4K rpm up but it’s not going to knock your coffee over or anything.
